New nails!
It looks a bit matte, and I wasn’t expecting that. Since all my other colors are shiny, I couldn’t pattern it was anything good. It’s a nice color though. Worth $1.50? Yep. =)
I have changed my degree program to a masters program from a PhD! I’m very happy about this. =)
Still, the advisor I picked isn’t awesome…. =/ but I’m going to stick it out. Hopefully, I’ll be done in another year…. At the rate I’m going, I’m probably going to write a thesis on stuff that didn’t work.
There’s another grad student in my lab, and she’s thinking about leaving this group after some events yesterday. If that were to happen, I’d be the only grad student for my advisor… again. Most of the students who had joined this group decided to leave. Think about that. What does that say about this group? About my advisor?

Also, he’s new-ish, so everything I’m doing is building from the ground up. There’s nothing that’s already established, so I have to work out everything myself.

Talking about lipsticks again! Besides the one I showed you the other day, there are the four main colors that I usually wear.
As you’ll notice most of those are drugstore brands. I think that drugstore lipstick are
1. worth the price and
2. have way more colors.
While shiny is okay, I like having a good cream finish, so no gloss.
Cherry Rain, nothing like a good red.

Look what I made!
It was girl’s night, and we decided to do some arts and crafts! Crayon melting art!
I picked these colors so that it’ll look like a campfire. Does it look like one?
Doing this sort of crafting is actually really fun. To do this, you glue some crayons to the top of the canvas, and then bring a heat gun to them, and they’ll melt down.
There are some really cool ones!
I’ve been super into lipcolor lately. Mostly because I’ve come to some realization that my eyes just don’t do shadow very well. 😦
I’ve never really been too into lipstick before, because my lips are super chapped most of the time. Revlon recently came out with a new line of lipsticks, “Colorburst Lip Butter,” and I wanted to test it out. Any time there’s “butter” in the name, wouldn’t you assume that means it’s hydrating?
Since I’ve tried some light pinks in the past, and they don’t seem to work to well (maybe I’ll show you some time), I decided to buy a darker pink color. I’m particular drawn to like a red wine color, but I didn’t want to get another lipstick of a similar color.
This is their raspberry pie.
Shot before work today. It is a nice color. Definitely not the same old red wine color, more red than pink. I did apply chapstick before the color, but still it’s been lasting a bit longer than other colors I’ve used. Overall, I approve, and might possibly go get another color from the same line. 🙂
Watched it! Thought it was very funny. I know that it got low reviews, but it’s not about the story, it’s about the humor. The jokes in the trailer were still funny when you watched this movie, and unlike some other trailers, there were other jokes in the movie. =) Even my boyfriend was laughing at parts.
I loved the paintball scene, btw. 😉
Who doesn’t love Girl Scout cookies?! O_O Is it bad that I already finished the entire bag of Thanks-A-Lot (I got them on Monday)? They are just so good. Thin Mints… they’re okay. Oddly, I remember them being better. =/ I really liked this one kind they had, Pinata cookies, but they don’t make them anymore around here. =(
Anyway, I was looking for cookies for a while, because I knew it was the season, and then my labmate’s boyfriend’s coworker was selling them for his daughter, so I was able to get them! I don’t usually support organizations, but I will probably always support Girl Scouts.
Next year, I might be able to just skip the Thin Mints altogether and just go for lots of Thanks-A-Lots.
Do you have a favorite Girl Scout cookie?
You know when you have a cold and you’re all sleepy? Happened to me yesterday. I went to work at the usual, and then left after about two hours. Hung around my house for a little bit and then went to sleep after lunch. Woke up for dinner, and then went back to sleep around 7:30.
Also, when you’re sick you get this feeling that your breath always smells bad…. gah….
I’ve been blowing my nose so much, it’s super red and chapped. =/
In case you’re all sick of the red, here are my new nails.

So, I’ve still got a terrible cold and my boyfriend and I are still fighting, but my lab mate gave me a valentine! =) Chocolate cover graham crackers! Yum!
